SOUTH AMERICA

South America is fascinating for the wine enthusiast! The combination of diverse

geographical regions and a unique series of microclimates has resulted in

a wide range of styles across the continent and although Chile and Argentina are the main exporters, quality wine is also made in Brazil, Uruguay and Peru!

A change in attitude over the last decade and a half has seen a move from

low-quality bulk wines to premium, individual wines reflecting the nature of the land.

It is now a treasure-trove of oenological gems!

The weekend will reflect the diversity of the continent and give the opportunity to

sample some wonderful wines whilst providing an introduction the wine regions of these increasingly important countries.

As usual Neil Goldie, from House of Townend Wines, will host the tutored tasting and share

his knowledge of South America with us. The tasting will reflect the region itself, with a balance

of red and white wines, with this theme being continued in the evening, a variety of wines

being served to complement our specially created menus.

Prices: Superior Room  £305 per person sharing

         Classic Room  £280 per person sharing
