Wedding Receptions at Temple Sowerby House

Celebrate your special day with up to 40 of your close friends and family enjoying a stylish wedding reception. TSH offers you private use of the house for your wedding, with exclusive use of all the bedroom accommodation and dining arrangements.

Comfortable bedrooms with luxury toiletries, elegant reception rooms with log fires, discreet service, very good food and a lovely old walled garden all combine to make Temple Sowerby House the perfect setting for your country wedding.

Some of the nicest weddings we have arranged have been based around a late afternoon wedding ceremony, perhaps followed by afternoon tea and wedding cake served either in the garden or by the fireside. An early evening Champagne reception with canapés is then followed by a leisurely dinner party.

We will create a menu just for you, designed to be unique to your wedding, taking into account the time of year and even ‘family favourites’. Our AA Two Rosette Dining Award ensures the standard and quality of the menus.

For smaller weddings, a table in The Restaurant may be just right following an informal ceremony.

TSH is a lovely old house but it is not a suitable venue for an evening reception with dancing.
